Spotlight

Today I wanted to feature a hopeful adoptive couple:
Aaron and Sandra

These two are great! They have so much light and happiness. I love seeing them whenever I do at FSA events. They live near Seattle and know my in-laws very well. Everytime I see them Sandra gives me a hug and I feel her love for all birthmothers and the adoption process. Aaron is an amazing artist! He donated a few of his pieces @ the FSA Conference last week and we all loved them and want to see more!
Aaron and Sandra are very involved and willing to serve, even though they haven't had the chance to adopt a child yet. They are patiently waiting for a birthmom to pick them as a perfect fit for her baby. We always joke in birthmom group that they have the 'Birthmom Stamp' of approval because they are such a great example of a loving adoptive couple.

Sandra:

My favorite hobby is:	Singing/music, scrap booking, backing, arts/crafts, jewelry making, sewing/crocheting blankets, hiking, camping, kayaking, biking, backpacking, Walking anywhere, working with animals, Wedding floral arrangements, writing poetry, drawing, taking pictures, cleaning/organizing,and giving massages.

My favorite flower is:	Daisies and white roses with red tips. White is pure and true, and the red tips are like a cup over flowing with love. True beauty is found within, and is more important than beauty on the outside.

I love to collect:	Baby clothes, scrapbook supplies, children's books. I use to buy baby and children stuff to help out the families my mom tended for . I still buy baby stuff for when I have my own child. I would also buy scrapbook supplies and make greeting cards with kids my mom tended. I also like to do my own scrap booking when I have the time.

Aaron:

The thing I am most passionate about is:	Cooking for my family.

My favorite hobby is:

I would categorize two types of hobbies. Creative hobbies and recreational hobbies. Creative hobbies: Drawing cartoons, painting landscapes with bright colors, cooking on the stove top or grill, carpentry/handiwork around the house, playing harmonica, keyboard, saxophone. Recreational hobbies: taking long drives to new places, camping in the desert, backpacking, kayaking, biking, swimming, tennis, golf, volleyball, video games, board games.

A singer or band I currently listen to the most is:	I've been a fan of Phish since 1993. Not only is their music awesome and unique, but they have been together for 27 years and still have all of the original members. I would describe their music as "elation".
